Mission Statement
The mission of A Life of Prayerv is to pray without ceasing and teach how to live the life Jesus lived on earth in the power of heaven and to be a companion for those seeking Spiritual Direction, and companionship.
Spiritual Direction (SD)
The gift of spiritual nurturing in which we experience God's presence within us is closer than breathing, closer than thinking, and closer than consciousness itself.
School for SD
Our one-year concentration program on the contemplative focus and communal emphasis on Spiritual Direction is mentor guided, highly experiential, and praxis driven.A Life of Prayer
The foundation for living the fullness of a Christ-like life is love. Love hangs on the command to love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul and with will our mind; and to love our neighbor as ourselves. Prayer is our relationship with heaven, the outcome of our will aligned with the Will of God. Love and prayer are our linkages to heaven and heaven's response to us. Prayer is communication with and hearing from God. A Christ-like life is a life of prayer and the love of God and man.
What Makes Us Unique
Our commitment to Christ Jesus is the core of our ministry. His life and teachings shape our beliefs. Our beliefs reflect our obligations to God, to our staff, and to you. The love of Christ is shed in our hearts to love one another, to serve, and go forth into all nations to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to make disciples. Our commitment to prayer is the voice of this ministry that God hears that brings about miracles that change circumstances in our lives and in the lives of those for whom we offer prayer.
